Steven says:
1) Smile and make eye contact.
2) If sitting with a group of friends, sit at the end of the group so
that it's easy
to get from your seat to the dance floor. Others can still be asked,
but people who
are less confident about approaching groups will find it easier to
ask someone who
doesn't have to climb over all of her friends and make a scene. So
you can at least
increase the number of possible people who will ask you.
3) Ask someone else to dance. ;-)

Dan says:
1. Smile - Look like you want to be there and are happy
2. Move with the music on your own - Show people you are there to
dance
3. Say YES to people - If you are saying NO to others... why would
someone take a
chance of being rejected

Joyce says:
Erm.... take the initiative and ask? what's the worse that can
happen? the
other party can say no, in which case, you ask someone else?

Wei Han says:
1) Dancers remembers who they dance with all the time. So never pull
sleazy
or funny tricks on them.
2) Appear friendly and approachable.
3) Be sincere when dancing
4) never appear to others as if you know everything about salsa or
even try
correcting another (unless you are very sure yourself or you are an
instructor)...well even instructors sometimes don't know everything
:)
Lastly, BE PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS SPORT!

Wenai says:
Firstly, LOOK GOOD. Secondly, dance as if you really enjoy yourself
(even if that's not the case), thirdly and MOST IMPORTANTLY, SMELL
GOOD. Applies to both guys and girls. As salsa is such a close
contact dance, so smelling nice is really important... ...

Jacquelyn says:
Show that you're really enjoying the music and that you can't wait to
dance. You can do it by standing very very near the dance floor and
dance/ groove to the music. Once the music stops and the next piece
starts, you're there to be asked! Right place right time!
